Penrhyn Railway Supporters
The PRS are the only recognized support group of the Penrhyn Quarry Railway project in Bethesda
The PRS was set up by the railway in 2013 to cater to those who are interested in the restoration of the Penrhyn Quarry Railway.
The PRS subscription fee is given to the PRS project. Upon completion of the project, a new project is then given by the railway. (Roughly every 12 months).
Once a year we have our Supporters open day which is allocated for the PRS.
A quarterly publication is issued to all PRS members, which includes first hand knowledge of the railway's future projects, and open days.
The PRS are also given free entry to the site on public running days.
The PRS has had a successful year with the completion of the first PRS project, and holding two supporters days.
2016 is a big year for the PQR as we are exptending the railway, and putting on more events/ running days. The PRS will continue to be involved with the running of the railway this year.
Due to the privileges given to the PRS the minimum age for subscribers is 17.
2016's project will be the purchasing of track tools and watering facilities for the railway. In preparation for the extension of the line
